Our Client is a leading supply chain partner for British business, providing supply chain solutions up and down the country. Through a wealth of experience and knowledge they provides business critical services including storage, handling and distribution; high volume eFulfilment; retailer ‘dark stores’; two-person home delivery; fleet and transport management; and network optimisation for many of the UK’s best-known companies

They are seeking experienced and enthusiastic 7.5 drivers to join their successful team working at their site in Sheffield, to support the core site. These roles will appeal to an individual who loves working in a team to deliver exceptional service.

Monday – Friday, 50 hours per week.
Hourly rate - £13.52 per hour, Overtime £18.00 per hour

Start times between 05.00 - 06.00, flexibility is required.

Due to the nature of the work heavy lifting is required. It is therefore essential that the successful applicant is capable to carry out this nature of work.

Key Responsibilities:
Drive Company vehicles and operate Company equipment in a safe and proper manner in accordance with Company Policies, procedures, and legislation.

Assist the loading operation in movement of vehicles onto bays.

Provide excellent customer service at all times and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.

Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products.

You will be carrying out 5 – 20 drops per day.

Carry out vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks prior to the operation of any vehicle, reporting any defects immediately.

On return to base, report to the traffic office for full debrief and report any exceptions in a timely manner.

This role ability to self-manage and use initiative for solving problems.

Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times

Experience & Qualifications:

Full 7.5 Driving Licence / Class II would also be an advantage

DCPC Qualification card required and proof of current hours of training.

Experience of driving commercial vehicles.

Knowledge of driving legislation.

Excellent customer service skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Enthusiasm and reliability.
